August 2010 is almost here, and Sparks Music is getting a face lift, cleaning in the corners and preparing for great things to happen. If you've been in lately you would notice we now have three rather distinct business sections. We have moved all retail into our original, "Rock SHop," and Ballintines Ballroom is at the south end, and I might add is doing very well by student enrollment standards. Jim Ballentine is a talented thirty year professional dance studio owner and teacher who has brought his exciting brand of personal instruction into the Sparks Music Mix. We are looking to add Ballet soon. Don't forget to check out his web site at WWW.Ballentintinesballroom.com. We are very excited to unveil our latest makeover: our ACN Communications Training Center in the once "Parent Lounge." Here, Independent Representatives will be trained, inspired, and supported in their business efforts building their communications services companys. Every Tuesday night at 6:30 a presentation will be made to intrested prospective partners, and current team members looking to expand their understaning of the global powerhouse, ACN. 

Wow! Summer is surging into hot days and warm nights. Sparks Music is excited about the Rental Season, many schools are up and running, and I am happy to report parents are streaming in by the dozens to rent, buy and accessorize their instrument choices. We are always happy to help in anyway we can, and as part of our "reinvention" we are making permanent our offer of free sat lessons as long as the interest is there.

Every Saturday at 2:00 Mr Manning is teaching Guitar class 101, be sure you come prepared with a folding music stand, book and instrument (available at the desk at a great discount). All ages are welcome.

 

Every Saturday at 3:30 Mr Manning, who holds a BMME in music Education from The University of Nevada, Reno, will teach combined band and strings. There will be special guests teachers helping everyone to get off to a great start on their new instrument. Always FREE!

June is the month Sparks Music gears up for summer. Families have decided to take long awaited vacations, or just relax for the summer. Sparks Music begins to see new student enrollment as some parents agree with us that a head-start on 6th grade with a new instrument makes sense. Join us this summer as we prepare your "soon to be band student" for success. Instruments can be rented now and you are proactivey avoiding the rush; setting your child up for recognition and success in the coming school year.

May 2010 will be the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Sparks Music. Anyone who is paying attention to the economy knows we are in a period of instable growth at best. Despite this economy, Sparks Music is moving forward in a positive and hopeful way. Mike Manning said "the only bad economy is the one we allow ourselves to believe in." We, like many other business' are refusing to take part in the recession. We still acknowledge the suffering of some of our customers, and will continue to help in any way we can.

 Every Tuesday, Reno area leaders will hold a 7pm Business reception at Sparks Music., a top executive with ACN will explain this opportunity in detail.
